The position of Data Manager is to monitor the day to day operation of 25Live, serving as the Functional Administrator of the University's web-based event publishing, calendaring, and scheduling solution. The position requires critical thinking, problem solving and technical expertise. 25Live provides the Yeshiva University community with one centralized scheduling system, and data repository for all events held at the University. Existing programs are operated and analyzed for improvement and new programs are researched and developed in association with campus partners. Specific skills for the position include data management, calendar publishing, customer service, presentation skills, forms/report development and automation, and excellent communication skills. The position holder must be able to prioritize the workload and allocate time accordingly, identify issues and opportunities, and provide functional expertise in highly complex and critical programs, often under pressure. In addition, the position assumes special projects as needed to support the management of the division. This role will additionally oversee the custom billing invoices for space usage across the University.
Responsible for the day to day operation of the 25Live Reservation software system
Responsible for troubleshooting for all clients, research, analyze, and find or recommend applicable resolution to space conflicts/errors in collaboration with the Academic scheduler and requestors
Responsible for working with the Events Office on training campus users on the 25Live system.
Work closely with IT and Registrar's Office on running the Interface between Banner and 25Live.
Lead and assist the functional staff in the setup and administration of all CollegeNET applications. This includes serving as the primary liaison between all users , IT staff as well as CollegeNET support
Develop and follow a process for updating existing and new data about spaces, resources, customers and organizations
Develop and maintain appropriate security access for various user groups
Configure, customize and maintain the Event Wizard user interfaces for YU and Cardozo Law
Assist Training and Development with CollegeNET training materials and training new and existing users of applications
Management of user accounts in the Admin tool of 25Live
Researches and analyzes 25Live upgrades and modules and works with campus management and user teams to implement these resources
Gather space data (i.e. photos, layouts) and upload it into 25Live
Develop custom reports to document space and event related information and responds to ad-hoc reporting requests
Publish and Maintain various University Event Calendars
Assist with Special Projects as needed
Experience and Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of prior related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Experience with university operations, programs and procedures
Experience in system upgrades and software programming
Skills and Competencies:
Must have working knowledge of general practices, programs and procedures pertaining to software/database management requirements and event scheduling for campus and external customers; basic methods and procedures for research
Ability to analyze specific facility usage needs of individuals and then to organize and distribute the information necessary to facilitate events effecting multiple service providers and departments
Able to identify opportunities for improvement to processes, communication, and campus relationships
Ability to determine time requirements to complete a job and willingness to work the time required
Ability to learn, interpret, and applies a wide variety of policies and procedures relating to and impacting the applicable program, organizational unit, and/or administrative specialty
Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within and outside the work group
