Ideal candidates will have experience in multiple functional revenue cycle areas which include Patient Access, Revenue Integrity, and Patient Financial Services. Technology Implementation Project Managers serve as industry experts while they implement best practices in Optum360 client locations. Site Transition team members combine their leadership, experience and understanding of Optum360 technology and service solutions to bring world class results. Primary Responsibilities: Revenue Cycle redesign and alignment with technology solutions and services Enterprise level Revenue Cycle technology deployments Revenue Cycle Management process improvement Multi-facility business and work flows Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including the development of proposals, presentations and communications materials Interchange claims and patient account data from one platform to another through the Revenue Cycle processing protocols Work with a cross functional team to engage clients in the deployment of enterprise level technologies and process improvement initiatives As lead Project Manager for technology deployment, work collaboratively with a team of subject matter experts in managing the assessment, design and deployment of Optum360 software applications Understand client business metrics and results and how they are supported by our solutions Development of options and recommendations for client improvement Utilize knowledge of healthcare Revenue Cycle Management industry best practices, technical processes, and operational policies Understand and represent Optum360 technology and services and how they will improve client operations Collaborate with client revenue cycle team and other departments in order to facilitate resolution of process issues and implement world-class solutions Provide informed feedback to Senior Optum360 and client executives, including assessments of processes, standards, suggestions and improvements Develop project work plans, tasks and schedules and manage projects in accordance with budget and timeline objectives Must meet minimum performance standards Accountable for all decisions, actions, and directives with respect to job responsibilities Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement Provide client support and service in multiple time zone hours Perform other duties as assigned by management Travel will be required approximately 25% of the time
Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree or 10 years of equivalent healthcare revenue cycle experience 8+ years of IT Project Management and/or Program Management methodologies 5+ years of Health Care industry knowledge in a provider based market Capacity to manage large scale projects that involve multi-provider entities or extensive healthcare networks of significant capacity Experience with hospital patient accounting practices and/or back-end revenue cycle methodologies Understanding of healthcare Revenue Management Cycle best practices, processes and policies Demonstrated experience with Project Managing a team based technology deployment projects with durations greater than 90 days Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience understanding back-end business office operations and/or billing operations for a large provider or hospital network 5+ years of working hands-on with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle 2+ years of experience working with test plans, test cases and understanding fundamental quality assurance protocols (Unit, Integration, Component, System, UAT) Experience with diligence gathering, process review, data analysis and generating requirements directly with customers Established experience with implementing SaaS based healthcare applications in an acute environment Strong background and proficiency with writing producing detailed Project Management policies and processes Six Sigma ITIL - Yellow or Green Belt experience is idealCareers with Optum.
