Postdoctoral Fellowships at Rutgers University, Piscataway, NJ.
A postdoctoral fellowship is available in an auditory neuroscience laboratory in the Department of Cell Biology & Neuroscience. The NIH-funded project is designed to study how the electrophysiological properties of spiral ganglion neurons are modulated by neurotransmitters and second messengers, and how their morphological features are affected by growth factors. The position requires expertise with patch clamp recording; experience in IR-DIC and/or calcium imaging is a plus. Rutgers University is home to a large, highly collaborative neuroscience community; the Rutgers Piscataway campus is also close to New York City and Philadelphia, thus offering easy access to additional scientific and cultural opportunities.
