This position, as part of the Business Intelligence Management Division (BIMD) is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a variety of methods for reporting on and accessing healthcare information, notably via Epic developed Crystal Reports, Epic Reporting Workbench, Epic Radar Dashboards, Epic Analytics, Epic-Crystal integration, Epic-Business Objects integration, Epic Datalink and other external integrated reporting with Epic. Duties may extend to the Cognos BI application suite and the healthcare data warehouse (Oracle) as time allows and needs dictate. This work ensures that the information assets of the OHSU enterprise are leveraged to enhance financial, clinical, operational, and research decision-making, therefore ensuring competitive business advantages. This position is responsible for implementing information technology solutions at the direction of senior team members within architecture guidelines that allow users to appropriately generate timely, accurate and comprehensive information for managing our business.
This position provides administration, governance, and technical expertise for Epic Reporting Workbench as an operational reporting tool. Responsibilities include security administration, template maintenance and creation, user assistance and auditing as per the needs of OHSU administration, application teams, and line-of-business users.
This position provides administration, governance, technical expertise and implementation services in the delivery and operation of dashboards within the Radar environment and the development and maintenance of the associated processes. Responsibilities include RWB and RADAR security administration, dashboard creation, management of standard dashboard components used by all dashboards, user assistance, training, and auditing. These dashboards are generally based on Epic Reporting Workbench reports and metric resource records but may include other tool components. Dashboards are posted to appropriate individuals or groups comprised of clinicians, administrators, and/or line-of-business users.
This position provides administration and functionality expertise for Epic tools delivering analytics solutions in Hyperspace. This includes but is not limited to RWB and RADAR. Responsibilities include configuration of Analytics security, BI portal settings, Datalink security and setup, and registry configuration as needed. Some work with Clarity Compass and registry datamarts may be required
This position provides administration and monitoring for Epic-Crystal integration and Epic-Business Objects integration. Responsibilities include managing and version control of Epic supplied reporting, configuration and deployment of Epic Reporting Workbench templates for Epic-Crystal and Epic-Webi integration via Data Courier, and configuration and deployment of corresponding Crystal Reports and Web Intelligence reports via Business Objects Life Cycle Manager.
This position provides processes & Standards, consulting, training and technical expertise to assist business users with leveraging the solutions developed by Epic (userweb) and fellow team members. Responsibilities include Process & procedure development, requirements gathering, managing solution availability and reuse, project coordination, maintaining data and report documentation, contributing to security architecture design, data testing and validation, report development/testing, report scheduling, and implementation support.
This position will also have direct regular meetings with the Epic Technical Analyst responsible for RWB and RADAR to discuss issues as well as the rollout of enhancements and new functionality. In addition this position will plan and project manage all activities associated with an Epic upgrade that impact RWB and RADAR reports.
Masters degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and four years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments;OR Bachelors degree in computer science or related field and six years work related experience in the information technology field;OR Associates degree in computer science or related field and seven years work related experience in the information technology field;OR Eight years work related experience in the information technology field;OR Equivalent combination of education and experience where one year of experience will be substituted for an Associates degree and two years of experience will be substituted for a Bachelors degree.
Minimum two years of experience with Epic applications including Reporting Workbench, RADAR and Clarity.
Minimum three years working with relational databases using Star schema data structures.
Knowledge of Epic healthcare data, Epic data structures, Epic dashboard frameworks, and the Epic Clarity database.
Ability to read, write and maintain SQL Code.
Epic Reporting Workbench Certification within 6 months of hire.
