Description Provide, under direct supervision, support for federally funded research projects designed to evaluate a reading intervention for fourth-grade students as well as a second-grade teacher instruction and language study. The position involves data collection, data entry, and data management activities. Key Functions and Expected Performances: Administer and score literacy assessments Collect observational data on instruction Conduct teacher interviews Enter data into database and maintain data security Attend meetings about data sharing, prepare data in form for sharing Compile data for research reports, assist with summary and analysis tasks, assist in preparing graphs and tables Preferred Skills and Experiences Strong written and verbal communication, as well as public speaking skills Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multiple people as part of a collaborative team Daily access to transportation to Middle Tennessee Schools Prior experience administering and scoring standardized literacy assessments Prior experience working with elementary schools and interacting with children Prior experience with SPSS and Excel
