The Teaching and Learning Lab (TLL) within Academic Affairs is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to help manage our expanding portfolio of strategic projects. Reporting to the Director of the Teaching and Learning Lab, the Sr. Project Manager will be expected to lead the project team through expertise and guidance to deliver high quality educational products. Working closely with leadership and team members, he/she will assist in the continuous improvement efforts to enable more effective delivery of highly engaging and impactful learning experiences.
A successful candidate in this role will: ● Have the ability to influence and motivate teams to deliver their best work. ● Believe in iteration and communication and seek opportunities to improve learner experience at all steps. ● Build trusting, successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders through strong communication skills. ● Pay attention to details and know how to keep track of multiple priorities, getting them done successfully in collaboration with a group of talented people. ● Enjoy working closely with faculty, learning designers, media producers, and learning technologists on creative solutions to interesting challenges. ● Be an active listener to stakeholder and user needs, with a knack for turning those needs into actionable items within the larger vision of a project.
This is a 2 year term position.
This position reports to the Director of the Teaching and Learning Lab.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Management ● Develop and maintain detailed project plans ● Manage project deliverables according to the project plan and timeline ● Record, manage, and actively resolve project issues ● Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and overall project delivery ● Map business and teaching/learning needs to functional requirements and design/technical specifications ● Negotiate scope changes
Project Leadership ● Provide strategic oversight for major projects ● Manage and lead the project team ● Coordinate project activities across different organizational functions ● Manage communication with external and internal partners engaged in the work ● Prepare and present status reports ● Foster strong relationships with a diverse set of clients ● Contribute to creating a shared vision and strategy for excellent learner experience and design in alignment with project and organizational goals. Project Communication and Stakeholder Management ● Lead project meetings ● Manage stakeholder expectations for project success ● Oversee documentation, communication, and collaboration strategy

Windows/Mac personal computer, Microsoft Office applications, Qualtrics, Canvas, Basecamp, MS Project, established and emerging tools for communication, collaboration, and presentation.

● Bachelor's degree ● 5+ years experience managing complex projects, preferably in education or a related field. ● Comfortable presenting to a diverse group of stakeholders. ● Previous work experience in an academic setting
● PMP certification or equivalent documented professional experience in project management. ● Strong negotiation skills ● Ability to grasp new concepts and adapt to changes and demands in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. ● Excellent written and verbal communications. ● Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior-level managers and a variety of key stakeholders. ● Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. ● Highly detail oriented and organized. ● Familiarity with Design Thinking ● Experience managing budgets ● A passionate advocate for universal design and accessibility
