The Department of Global Health and Social Medicine (DGHSM) at Harvard Medical School applies social science and humanities research to constantly improve the practice of medicine, the delivery of treatment, and the development of health care policies locally and worldwide. Master's degree in Public Health, Global Health, Health Policy or Health Administration required. Three years of related research experience required. Experience with program evaluation and research methods expected. Experience and track record of academic publications.
PhD preferred. Strong critical thinking, analytical and writing skills. Ability and competence to manage data collection process and data file management. May lead and direct the work of colleagues. Ability, willingness and flexibility to travel for extended periods of time in low-income countries with relatively short notice.
