Help cure cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering! In pursuit of patient care and scientific research, the Investment Management Department manages long-term investment assets in excess of $4 billion. These assets are invested in a sophisticated mix of diversified strategies on a global basis, are overseen by a committee of the Board and are stewarded by the Investment Management Division.
The Investment Analyst is an integral member of the investment team with primary responsibility for providing investment research and support for the senior members of the investment group. You will have the opportunity to contribute to our work with investment managers across all asset classes (including global equities, hedge funds, fixed income, private equity, venture capital, and real assets) as well as on portfolio-wide activities (including asset allocation, risk management, and operations) in support of the team-oriented approach of the Investment Management Division.
As the Investment Analyst, you will:
Work with team members in monitoring existing investments and developing extensive analytical reports on the portfolio to assess the performance of all managers and funds.
Coordinate with colleagues in preparing and delivering a variety of reports (both quantitative and qualitative).
Evaluate investment opportunities by asset class, sector, stage, and geography, and presenting research.
Identify, evaluate, implement, and manage investment tools and resources used in connection with manager and market monitoring.
A Bachelor’s Degree and between two and four years relevant experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines across a broad set of time frames.
Expert level proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Knowledge and/or experience in capital markets.
Demonstrated leadership potential.
High degree of judgment.
Superior written communication skills.
Exceptional track record of academic accomplishments.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
Proficient in use of investment performance and portfolio statistics.
