The Research Associate 2 will serve as the Project Coordinator for two grants: 1) Project EMPOWERING: Evidence-based PrEP for Justice-Involved Women and their Risk Networks, funded by Gilead Sciences; and 2) Project OPTIONS: Developing and Testing the Effect of an Integrated Patient-Centered HIV Prevention Decision Aid on PrEP Uptake among Women who use Drugs Entering Treatment, funded by a Doris Duke Charitable Foundations Clinical Scientist Development Award. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the grant overseeing activities of the PI's staff as well as research assistants at non-Yale worksites. The project coordinator will collaborate with the PI to develop criteria for admission of study subjects and contribute scientific thought for protocols. This position will develop databases and data collection mechanisms using Qualtrics and REDCap to review, validate, and merge data collected in various forms (interviews, lab data, etc.) and from different sources. The Project Coordinator will perform complex statistical analyses (using SAS and/or SPSS) on collected data; and will write and finalize manuscripts for publication and presentations at national and international scientific conferences. This position will serve as a liaison with drug treatment staff and other collaborators discussing, informing, and advising on study design and science, methodology, progress, and status.

Demonstrated experience, knowledge or willingness to learn and apply trauma-informed and gender-responsive principles of clinical research. Experience coordinating field operations for epidemiological research.
Required Licenses Or Certifications:
Master's Degree in a related discipline and two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
