As we prepare to celebrate our 150th anniversary next year, we are seeking a dynamic leader with demonstrated success in directing the development function for a moderate-to-large nonprofit organization.
The Vice President of Development provides leadership, creates the overall development vision, and manages the implementation of initiatives designed to build the SF SPCA’s long-term financial stability. As part of the Executive Team, this role helps to direct organizational strategy and take responsibility for instilling an inclusive, inspired, collaborative, and productive culture.
Our ideal candidate is one who is creative and energetic, with a history of fundraising success, a diverse skillset, and proven leadership. He or she will be an engaged leader who builds relationships with current and potential donors, staff, board members, volunteers, partners, and community members.

Education and Experience (Required):
Bachelor’s Degree, an advanced degree would be preferred.
Minimum three years of leading the entire fundraising function, including oversight of major/corporate donors, foundations, legacy, and online/individual giving.
Ten plus years of overall fundraising experience with progressive management responsibility.
