TENURE TRACK FACULTY POSITIONS IN CHEMISTRY. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in the College of Science and Health at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (UWL) http://www.uwlax.edu/Chemistry-and-Biochemistry/ anticipates hiring two dynamic teacher-scholars at the Assistant Professor level to join its top-rated program on August 27, 2018. Our new colleagues will teach General and Organic Chemistry lecture and laboratory courses along with advanced elective courses in their areas of expertise, develop and maintain an active research program involving undergraduates, and be engaged in department, university, professional, and public service. For one of the positions, special consideration may be given to individuals with additional expertise in the areas of materials science and/or industrial/nuclear/energy chemistry. Our department and college maintain a large array of modern instrumentation resources, and we will move into a brand new state-of-the-art laboratory sciences facility in 2018.
Qualifications: An earned Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry or related discipline by position start date is required, demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication, and a commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarship at the undergraduate level are required.
Preference will be given to candidates with an earned Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry or related discipline by application date, post-doctoral research experience and those whose professional expertise complements that of the existing faculty.
