Description: The Application Developer will report to the IT Director. This position will perform data reporting/modeling, application testing, development, and maintenance within an agile team environment. This work will include development/coding, testing, and ongoing maintenance of the departmentâ??s front-end applications, back-end applications, java application servers, and databases.
The Application Developer will serve as an integral member of the information technology team. This team is responsible for all software, servers, and data systems. This position will work with staff, end users, and other IT Staff to assist in the development and implementation of solutions for continuous improvement and support of business functions.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent experience
1 - 3 years demonstrated experience in maintaining and testing applications.
Ability to work both independently and as a team member in a complex, fast paced, dynamic team environment with competing demands.
In depth knowledge of MySQL / MySQL server.
In depth knowledge of Java (JavaEE / J2EE) and JDBC frameworks.
Ability to effectively balance and prioritize multiple projects concurrently.
Understanding of systems analysis and functional design practices.
Understanding of Object Oriented Modeling and Programming.
Demonstrated understanding of Debugging and Testing techniques and best practices
Experience with continuous process improvement methods
Experience with mobile technologies/frameworks
Knowledge of MVC, MVP, SOA, DevOps, and Agile development practices
Experience with any of the following technologies: RESTful Web Services, Vaadin, JPA, Maven, PHP, AngularJS, Wildfly, Tomcat
Experience with Eclipse or other relevant IDEâ??s and debugging tools.
