The College of Charleston Athletics Department is seeking an experienced, energetic, motivated sales professional to market and sell full seasons, partial seasons, group tickets, and mini plans, through inbound & outbound sales activities for all ticketed sports. Outbound sales activity includes phone sales, appointments and grassroots promotional event appearances. This position start date will be September 1, 2017.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Sell full seasons, partial plans and various group/fan experience ticket plans of assigned sports.
Execute outbound calls and develop new business, make event appearances and community outreach.
Manage all personal sales accounts and work with existing ticket operations staff to provide high levels of customer service.
Maintain a high level of sales activity which includes, weekly and monthly assigned sales activity goals which include hitting target # of calls, appointments and community networking events.
Attend promotional and community events to increase and drive sales.
Maintain accurate records of all prospective activities and sales in ticketing database.
Establish sales goals and revenue targets with ticket operations staff.
Complete required daily, weekly, and monthly ticket sales activity reporting.
Assist Director of Ticket Operations in building a student outbound ticket sales team.
Perform essential game day responsibilities as assigned by CofC Athletics
Ability to function in fast-pace environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
Ensure proper information is entered into database management system, with complete and accurate data entry.
4-year undergraduate bachelor’s degree required.
1-3 years of previous sport ticket sales or general sales is preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with the public in a friendly and professional manner.
Ability to stay focused on sales goals and work independently
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Database applications and basic computer skills, Excel, Outlook and Word.
Previous Ticketing software experience or ticket operations experience is preferred.
