Provide subject matter expertise and consultative leadership to the President and the President’s leadership team in planning and guiding policy planning and research. Establish short- and long-term strategic objectives to meet the Office of the President’s needs. Review and assess new and ongoing programs and initiatives; establish new and/or revise current practices to ensure implementation of new initiatives comply with best practices and University policies and procedures. Utilize available data sources to conduct various research and analysis projects in support of the University's mission. Collaborate with central University offices and schools to ensure new and current program initiatives are in compliance with School and University policies. Perform ad hoc research to inform executive decision- making at the request of the President or the President’s leadership team. Represent the Office of the President in meetings with deans, vice-presidents, and other executives as requested.
Required Education: Master’s degree
Preferred Education: Master's degree in policy, economics, business, education, sociology, or statistics
Required Experience: 10+ years' progressively responsible experience in planning and implementation at the college or university level, developing office policies and procedures and experience in research design, data collection and retrieval, and reporting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience: Higher education experience in institutional research.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Superior strategic planning, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Proven ability to implement and evaluate programs and processes in a university setting. Proficiency with desktop office suite and ad hoc reporting tools.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint); PeopleSoft, Brio, and SQL.
