This is a challenging role that creates an opportunity to grow and develop while doing your life's best work.(sm) Primary Responsibilities:Analyzing various types of data and processes in a versatile manner and present findings and recommendations in a professional manner to the health plan for Medicaid and Medicare line of businesses Identifying defects and improving departmental performance by supporting quality, operation efficiency and production goals Working departmentally and interdepartmentally to recommend and request modifications to existing system set up Reporting and presenting findings based on data analysis and other project assignments Review technical specifications to ensure the Enrollment, Entitlement, Outreach and Clinical Departments business requirements are adequately reflected in technical planning documents Trending and comparing analyses against departmental and corporate standards Recommending changes to address deficiencies and / or further improve and streamline performance based on analysis findings Assisting with developing effective reporting tools for the all departments within the health plan Preparing routine reports as needed (financial, quality, production, operational efficiency, etc.) Proactively assisting with identifying the training and development needs of the health plan staff Conducting testing and accurately documenting to meet time lines as needed for assigned projects Responsible for the overall success of applicable testing, including results verification before senior staff sign-off Provide resource planning and resolution of issues that impede the test effort Assisting with achieving the appropriate level of quality by working with the IT Department in resolving important defects and ensuring the appropriate level of testing Working directly with appropriate members of the National Project Management and other business units to understand project concepts, objectives and approach Assessing and preparing to address the operational impacts, workflow, and training issues of the assigned project(s) Ensuring post implementation accuracy Providing project and informational updates to management as available and / or assigned Collaborate with business units to understand strategic goals
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or 3 years of additional related work experience 1+ years of experience in business or finance; including analysis experience with a solid understanding of data storage structures 1+ years of experience with project methodology (requirements, design, development, test and implementation) Intermediate or higher level of proficiency with Excel, Access, PowerPointPreferred Qualifications:Experience in managed health care Experience building relational databases Ability to analyze and document business processes in Visio or similar tool Ability to communicate analysis including trends and opportunities to clients and the business in writing and verbally Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize in high volume work load situationCareers at UnitedHealthcare Community & State.
