Network Support Analyst - Telemental Health Tech-(170001AL)
The University of Maryland School of Medicine has an opening for a Network Support Analyst to work on the Telemental Health Technician. Under direct supervision, the analyst will support technical information solutions as it relates to the telehealth communications and provides technical information systems support to the Division of Telemental Health community. The selected candidate resolves moderately complex technical problems and may provide functional direction to end users.

Analyzes current and proposed departmental/user hardware and software systems; develops and maintains complex systems for various constituencies.
Responsible for the set-up of Telemental Health and video equipment organization wide.
Analyzes and solves telehealth computer application and systems problems for faculty and staff; provides a wide range of technical assistance to departmental user support staff.
Provides wide range, technical and informational support; provides individual and/or group instruction and training faculty and staff on telecommunication equipment and devices.
Assists the LAN Administrator Manager in the planning, organizing, and managing key programmatic operations to include the development and implementation of systems and standards and the development of new projects and programs.
Reviews, evaluates and recommends solutions for hardware and software acquisitions.
Maintain applicable records including user list, user accounts and security equipment inventory. Ensures compatibility, efficiency and integration of telecommunication system hardware, software and network system requirements. Reviews the creation of network designs, equipment specifications, systems requirements and/or service options.
Provides technical support for research and development initiatives and new technologies as directed by the LAN Administration Manager or Director of Telemental Health.
Maintains a broad knowledge of state of the art technology, equipment and/or systems; participates on professional development activities as appropriate.
Assists with the development and implementation of policies and procedures consistent with those of the organizations to ensure efficient and safe operation of the department and equipment.
Administers equipment and office security and safety procedures as appropriate to the operating environment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education: Associates Degree in IT, Electronics or a related field. Preferred Experience: Bachelor's degree Experience: Three (3) years of experience in network and telecommunication systems. Experience in AV systems design and installation required.
High School diploma and five (5) years of experience in network and telecommunication systems. Experience in AV systems design and installation. OR
Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a range of skills necessary to direct the operations of an organization with professional and administrative staff.
A proven record of positive working relationships with peers, physician faculty and other administrators.
Skill in working with multi-campus systems, telecommunications and network systems infrastructure and working in a highly-matrixed, fast paced environment.
Develop embedded software infrastructure and application code for video conferencing equipment.
Demonstrated proficiency with the use of Access, Excel, WordPerfect, PowerPoint, or other spreadsheet and graphics software applications required.
Effective communication skills and problem solving skills are required to work successfully with diverse staff members throughout the organization.
Hiring Range is the mid to high 50s, commensurate with education and experience.
