Job Description: The position provides full-time administrative support during the academic year (9 month position) to the University Chaplain and the Office of the Chaplains and Religious Life, coordinating the front office and reception; providing logistical support for office programs and initiatives; bookkeeping for the Brown-RISD Catholic Community; performing as Financial Coordinator for Workday transactions; and coordinating University support for weddings and blessing ceremonies in Manning Chapel.
High School diploma required and some college preferred. Three to five years office experience (preferably in an academic environment)
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, including warmth and patience in working with community members requiring care and guidance in time of grief
Proficient with standard office application software, word processing, financial spreadsheets, calendaring, and basic website updating required
Ability to think and act independently, and handle competing priorities, including ability to work effectively with others under crisis-oriented circumstances
Ability to work with a diverse Brown population. Professional and/or other personal experience with spirituality and religious life helpful
