Under general supervision, performs a variety of general clerical duties to support the laboratory department, including receptionist and secretarial support, admission activities, and order entry processing. May perform phlebotomy and/or receive specimens. Correctly matches test orders to specimens and delivers to the proper departments in established time frames. Primary duties to include outside reference lab processing, outpatient lab functions, specimens processing, and/or point of care testing.
Promotes exceptional patient care by adhering to quality management principles to conduct equipment qualification to assure product and sample integrity.
Promotes exceptional health care by expanding patient access to care through the provision of cellular products as an option to treat diseases; primarily hematological diseases, immune system and metabolic disorders.
Promotes exceptional commitment by demonstrating a strong connection to our mission and ownership of our department goals, focusing on collaboration for personal and professional growth and development.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma and Laboratory training (at least six months)
Clinical or research laboratory experience required. Basic computer skills required.
Strong communication and organizational skills; solid competencies in process assessment, interpersonal relationships and critical thinking.
