Infant of Prague Adoption Service, a private adoption agency established in 1953 is seeking an experienced, motivated Supervisor of Social Work with excellent clinical skills and a commitment to helping all members of the adoption triad. This exempt position. Regular working hours are Monday – Friday 8:30 - 5:00pm with after hours & weekend work as necessary. Supervisor of Social Work duties include:
Reviewing & writing of Home Studies for new adoptive families
Assuring successful placements through careful monitoring and post-placement services
Providing counseling to all members of the adoption triad
Providing coverage for social work staff
Coordinating of agency’s programmatic growth plan
Providing training and instruction to clinical staff
Adhering to CCL Regulations, Child Abuse Reporting and Confidentiality Laws
Performing other duties as assigned

The qualifying candidate will possess the following:
MSW required, LCSW considered
Three years of full-time social work employment in the field of family or child welfare or
Two years of full-time social work employment in a licensed foster family agency or adoption agency
S.A.F.E. Supervisor Trained
Familiarity with Title 22 regulations
Prior adoption experience within a county or private agency
All candidates must pass a DOJ, FBI and Child Abuse Index background check and must possess a valid California driver’s license.
Established in 1953, Infant of Prague Adoption Service is a non-denominational, domestic, nonprofit adoption agency. We provide counseling, without judgment or pressure, to women facing an unplanned pregnancies, so they can choose the appropriate course for their situation and that of their child. Should a woman desire to make a plan of adoption, we encourage and support open adoption. We prepare ...adoptive families for potential placement of adopted newborns and provide ongoing support to all members of the adoption triad before, during, and after adoption finalization.
