Freddie Mac is currently seeking a full time Cash Management Manager to primarily be responsible for Wire Room activities such as managing payment processing. The Cash Management Manager will be responsible for new products, services and applications related to the Wire Room. The Wire Room is part of the Enterprise Operations Department, and is responsible for ensuring that all cash activity is processed in accordance with regulatory and corporate compliance guidelines.
Responsibilities Include: * Responsible for the processing of payment transfers in support of the firm’s business lines * Federal Reserve or bank payments/receipts including wires, ACH payments, checks and internal transfers * Instruction receipts/authentication, entry instructions/verification, and processing/recording of transactions * Daily balancing/reconciling with banks and clearing firms along with same-day corrections * Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals * Responsible for acting as a liaison with line of business, branch offices, and technology staff * Acts as an advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems * Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team * Manages the coordination of the activities of a section or department * Managing and supporting the SAFE application * Enforcement of corporate and department payment policies * Providing strong customer support to internal customers * Managing corporate policies, procedures and controls related to the Wire Room * Participating and leading Wire Room projects
* College Degree and/or equivalent experience * Advanced Degree preferred * Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience with 2+ years of management experience * Understanding of Treasury Services, Cash Management and Banking Services including investment instruments, rules, regulations, compliance and related risk * Understanding of the Federal Reserve payment systems * OFAC (Office of Foreign Asset and Control) knowledge * Demonstrated strong data and analytical skills * Prior risk and controls oversight experience
* PeopleSoft Treasury (Oracle), Microsoft Access Database, Excel and Word * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Excellent organizational skills * Customer service oriented
