The Department of Food and Nutrition Services provides excellent food, enhanced nutrition care, and exceptional hospitality to those we serve through innovation, technology and a dedicated staff with clinical and culinary expertise.
Provide comprehensive nutrition care to oncology outpatients.
Assess nutrition needs, develop, implement/reevaluate care plans for patients of all ages.
Educate patients and family members and communicate patient issues to the health care team.
Participate as an active member of the 65+ Program and develops and implements nutrition-related education to underserved community members, caregivers and health care providers.
Serve as the geriatric nutrition expert on the clinical nutrition team and collaborates with interprofessional health care providers to evaluate and update educational content.
Participate in performance improvement activities and research studies.
Bachelors’ degree with major in Nutrition or related field, plus 1 year of post-degree work (internship)
Minimum of 2 years job-related experience.
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Commission on Dietetic Registration
Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist, New York State
Basic Computer experience
Board Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition (CSO) or Board Certified Specialist in Gerontological Nutrition (CSG), Commission on Dietetic Registration
2-3 years oncology nutrition experience
Schedule: Monday – Friday, Some weekends required. Hours: 8:30 AM -4:30 PM or 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
