POSITION: Sr. Risk Analyst

REPORTS TO: Manager of Risk & Corporate Insurance
Job Summary (Purpose):
Under general direction of the Manager of Risk and Corporate Insurance, administers the domestic and international insurance programs including, property, executive risk, cyber and casualty risk management programs and the Company's Captive Insurance Company.
Assists in the collection and reporting of underwriting data for the renewal of insurance policies.
Notifies broker of any reportable claims per the policy
Works with legal department on litigated casualty claims to provide updated status of claims and current reserves
Manages TPA relationship and coordinates periodic claim file reviews.
Assures control over the transfer of data from the Company's RMIS to the TPA
Coordinates Claims update meetings with insurance carriers
Reviews loss detail for quarterly actuarial reserve analysis
Maintains claim detail in the Microsoft Access database, and prepares reporting for Quarterly reserve meetings with Legal and Finance
Responsible for SOX testing on a quarterly basis
Provides review of insurance language in vendor contracts
Requests and tracks surety bonds, as needed
Manages timely and accurate payment and allocation of all Insurance related expenses; maintains tracking
Manages outgoing certificate of insurance and vehicle ID card requests; archives incoming certificates as required
Assures that the Corporate Insurance Policy Manual and Insurance Coverage Summaries (produced by brokers) are current.
Provides oversight on the Company's captive insurance company including financial statement review, check authorization, premium analysis and annual audit oversight
Updates Department Portal as needed to communicate Company programs and support field operations
Assists with reports to senior management utilizing Access, Excel, and TPA databases
Minimum of 5 years of experience of risk management experience preferably in the energy distribution industry.
Bachelor Degree in Risk Management or other Business related field; MBA preferred.
Must be able to bring creative and innovative solutions for issues surrounding the Risk Management Division.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational time management and superior analytical skills, demonstrated in critical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving.
Must be a self- starter and motivated to be independently responsible for assignments and various tasks as they arise.
Proficient MS Office Suite skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate in an effort to provide the best solution to all involved stake holders.
Must be self-directed, and able to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
