The Sr. Analyst provides high level support to financial reporting and operational guidance to the Workday Program team in collaboration with the Controllerâ™s office. This position is responsible to supporting the Workday Reporting function for financials with the Workday Reporting Manager and Brownâ™s Budget Office. Responsibilities include gathering requirements, documentation of reporting requests, writing of reports, testing and executing reports prior to deployment and analysis of report outputs. This position also supports the university and functional units advise on system configuration as it pertains to financial reporting.
Serve as Primary Reporting expert for financial reporting
Execute Reporting documentation, follow and advise on data standards for Workday Reporting in collaboration with Workday Reporting Manager and other report writers
Work with Reporting Management and Training Specialist to identify key opportunities to improve reporting understanding and adoption
Assist the Workday Program with Financial system support
Support initiatives of functional areas and triage issues that cannot be resolved with basic troubleshooting
Ad-hoc data requests and project support
Bachelorâ™s degree in HR, Finance, Business or related discipline, with 5-7 years data analysis experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with Workdayâ™s HCM, FIN and/or Payroll areas preferred
Workday report writing experience required
Ability to design user groups to meet end user needs, create initiatives and identify best practices to optimal reporting usage
Functional expertise in HR, Benefits, Financials and/or Payroll preferred
Strong excel skills including the ability to manipulate large sets of data and provide analytical support
Ability to identify user trends and strategic planning of future needs in collaboration with functionality options
Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to maintain strong working relationships with a diverse customer base are a must
Work well as an individual and part of a high-performing team
Excellent organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines
Analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
Evening and weekend availability during updates is required
