This is an annually appointed, benefits eligible position in the University of Arizona Athletics Department Compliance Office. The prime function of this position is to administer the athletic department education and monitoring systems for NCAA and Pacific-12 Conference and Arizona Board of Regents regulations. The position reports directly to the Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance. Create rules education materials and conduct rules education programs for student-athletes, coaches, athletics staff, boosters, institutional staff and external entities Assist in creating and maintaining institutional control in all aspects of NCAA, Pacific-12 Conference, and University of Arizona rules compliance Work with all sports and staff regarding compliance-related issues and interpretations, including but not limited to amateurism, eligibility and playing and practice seasons Monitor NCAA and institutional drug testing program Assist in development and conduct of recruiting monitoring-systems; Assist in monitoring of recruiting activities including but not limited to: contacts, evaluations and telephone calls, and individual recruitment records Monitor initial eligibility for prospective student-athletes Monitor student-athlete annual NCAA and institutional paperwork Assist in monitoring official and unofficial visits and non-recruited status Assist in monitoring prospective student-athlete official visit requirements, travel and expenses Monitor high school and 2 year college coaches complimentary admissions Monitor Student-Athlete’s Training Tables for Compliance Monitor and update applicable websites and social media platforms Member of the University Compliance Committee Assist in monitoring Compliance Assistant Software Assist in monitoring NCAA financial aid programs Other duties may be assigned by the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance. Duties may be adjusted based upon the expertise that the successful candidate presents
Experience with and knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
Excellent communication skills
Experience with NCAA Compliance Assistance Software
Ability and desire to perform accurate detail-oriented tasks and work with basic office software and database programs
