As a senior member of the development team, we are looking for someone to be a mentor to others, an advocate of front-end best practices, and an active coach across the organization. We look for self-starters who thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment – which means wearing many hats, being able to change direction quickly, and showing an eagerness to learn new technologies as the need arises. In this role you work with on collaborative team of engineers, product managers, and UX designers – so excellent interpersonal and communication skills are also a must.
Work with the design teams to maintain web patterns library
Collaborate with other teams to ensure on-time delivery of scalable UI architecture
Adhere to development best practices including test driven development, and agile methodologies
Contribute ideas for continually improving the team's productivity and code quality
Actively mentor junior developers to develop their front-end expertise
Advocate for web development best practices for users with disabilities
5 years of front-end development
Experience with front-end web development libraries, such as KnockoutJS, AngularJS or React
Working knowledge of maintaining UI design patterns
Organize and prioritize individual workload in order to meet required deadlines
Communicate effectively with team members, team leads, and on occasion with clients
Work as a member of a team, accept ownership of work and actively contribute to team discussions
Excellent decision-making skills
Bonus: Previous experience developing for Section 508 or WCAG 2.0 accessibility guidelines
