We are currently seeking a SeniorResearch Technician to join our team as a Sample Operator. The Integrated Genomics Operation (IGO) is the data production engine of the Center for Molecular Oncology (CMO). Our laboratory supports basic, translational and clinical research by performing a wide range of genomics platforms.
As a Senior Research Technician, you will:
Manage study samples according to established guidelines and SOPs
Assure proper storage conditions for sample types
Distribute samples throughout IGO and/or to investigators
Cherry-pick and/or aliquot samples into new vessels utilizing automated or manual systems
Meticulously record details of transfer information into our LIMS system
Assist Sample Manager as needed
Recognize deviations from normal situations and results, resolve problems within area of expertise, and inform supervisor when the problem is outside of scope, experience or authority.

An outstanding communicator
Good at mathematics
A Bachelor’s Degree in a Biological, Chemistry, or Science-related field with undergraduate lab experience and excellent references. A track record of academic excellence. Previous molecular biology experience (handling DNA, RNA) preferred.
