Utilizing in-depth knowledge of graphic art software, tools, and techniques the Graphic Artist creates and coordinates print production, establishes quality control standards and proofs all output. Will process, size, and edit electronic art files using graphics software. Will develop and monitor production schedules for all graphics projects. This position will report to the Executive Analyst to ensure the unit representation, visually and in print content, coincide and tell a cohesive story in support of the goals. Will manage the design and production of maps and graphics. Will produce graphics to accompany written materials. Essential Functions:- Will be responsible for all Facilities Services presentation production to support unit initiatives. Will collaborate within Facilities Services and support graphic communication for external audiences as well. Must be able to translate written or numeric information into dynamic graphic representations and serve as a resource for others preparing presentations. - Must have a keen creative visual sense, highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to work alongside others to deliver results. - Will manage graphics projects from start to finish including obtaining client needs, scheduling, developing drafts, obtaining production quotes, coordinating, designing, and implementing projects to final completion. Work will involve assembling materials, creating and designing graphics and maps, taking and printing of photographs, and organizing documents for distribution.- Will create and maintain an online Facilities Services image archive from photographs, CAD images, and photomontages that is accessible by others in the department. - Exterior signage design, construction signage and donor plaques will fall under the responsibility of the production specialist, as will campus maps. Will be responsible for keeping track of and updating campus maps and general signage according to construction or grounds changes. Will coordinate delivery and installation of signs and graphics.- Design services and creative content development for departmental website and newsletter publicationsMust submit a sample of your work (including a web page that you were primarily involved in designing) as supplemental document to your application in order to be considered for the position.
