Description The Network Specialist implements data, voice and video equipment in a complex voice network and data network environment. As a member of the Data Network team, you will perform routine and moderately complex maintenance and provide professional support for all types of voice and data network equipment. We need our network specialists to be strong team players. You will be on a 6 person technical team with weekly rotations of responsibilities, so you will work in conjunction with your team to provide support and solve issues together. If you love to troubleshoot problems and enjoy working without a lot of supervision this may be an ideal fit for you. You will support daily adds, moves and changes in the voice network (phones, fax, elevator lines, etc.) as well as the data network with any issues, incidents, or repairs that are filtered to the team. You will help customer support staff that create and process work orders. You will also be a resource for network services and be a part of projects that could involve voice and data integration and support of existing services. Also, you will work on Lifecycle replacement and lifecycle of network switches and wireless access points. Qualifications required and preferred: This position requires an Associate's Degree (or equivalent relevant experience) and 2 years of experience in the voice and data network field. Experience configuring system level devices (equipment beyond a lap top or pc workstation) including wireless access points, network switches and routers, network security devices, etc. is key. Experience in Application systems, configuring and maintaining an application or an application servers is required. Network centric applications experience preferred. Cisco applications experience ideal (CISCO Call Manager Voice a plus (NEC Voice).
