The senior healthcare analyst/statistician will work within Dovetail's analytics team and report to director of analytics. This is a business critical role that demands a highly motivated, self-directed, and collegial professional. Primary Responsibilities:Utilize statistical knowledge, programming techniques, and workflow management skills in data management, data analysis and outcome reporting Collaborate with partners and colleagues on decisions involving data collection methods and the application of appropriate statistical methods for an analysis Proactively and reactively create data specifications, data sets, data dictionaries, verifications of data, FAQs, job aids and training materials Provide analysis and recommendations for improvement of Dovetail's operations and clinical interventions Design, develop and define statistical models to improve Dovetail population risk stratification process Design, develop, interpret and present post-intervention outcomes reports for client and internal use Participate as a vital member of an innovative and business focused analytic team
Required Qualifications:A Bachelor's Degree in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, computer science or a quantitative degree relevant to healthcare research Proficiency (2 years of experience) in at least two of the following functional areas: outcomes, statistics/modeling and SAS software developments At least 2 years of experience working for a health care organization or business reliant on analytics of health care claims data 3 years of SAS experience 2 years of R, SQL or similar programming/analytic experiencePreferred Qualifications:Strong analytic capabilities Strong communication skills, including presentation to senior level internal and external audiences Interest in working in fast paced, entrepreneurial environment Ability to work collegially with a range of technical, analytic, and business personnel Ability to perform work with minimal direct oversight Detail orientation on data quality and integrity Master's degree in related fields Experience with pharmacy and medication management analytics Experience with population health management analytics Experience with electronic health record data Data mining and text mining techniquesCareers with Dovetail Health.
