Web & Digital Media Specialist California College of the Arts
The Web & Digital Media Specialist is a highly creative digital storyteller who has one hand in multimedia content creation and the other in managing website content using our content management system. This is a hybrid role that creates media and manages the content on the main website; proficiency with HTML/CSS is required.
The Web & Digital Media Specialist ensures website content is updated, accurate and consistent; builds web pages from existing templates; trains content managers how to update their web pages; and works closely with the Sr. Digital Marketing Manager to implement consistent SEO best practices to improve SERP rankings.
Multimedia content creation duties includes shooting video and still photography, video and audio editing, and employing other tools like graphics, animation and interactive media to tell the college's story across our owned channels. This role manages the digital media process from conception to completion by generating multimedia story ideas and storyboards, creating and producing multimedia content, and meeting deadlines for projects.
This role manages CCA's Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat channels.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Website Content Management 50% Multimedia Production 50% Respond to inquiries, comments, and manage the conversations; involve the Community Manager when discussions become damaging to the college's reputation
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A track record of conceiving and producing video content Ability to collaborate and work harmoniously with other people Working knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style strongly preferred Solid understanding of Google Analytics to assess content performance and derive actionable insights strongly preferred
