MSUAASF Salary Range C (Unclassified MSUAASF)
Develop and implement recruitment plans and strategies that bring top local, state, national, and international employers and professional jobs and internships to campus and increase student opportunities to connect with employers on and off campus.
Develop career cluster centered employment processes, that support best resume, cover letter, interviewing techniques, developing a professional presence, and personal brand customized to position the student into ideal background, skills, abilities scenarios that facilitate on boarding, access, and synergy with the employer network.
Provide individual career consultation appointments for students and alumni.
Administer and interpret personalized career inventories and assessments.
Offer career planning services, including resume review, cover letter critique, mock interview strategies, Linkedln review, graduate school planning, letter of intent support, personal branding and professional presence integration into planning vehicles.
Manage existing recruitment vehicles for on campus recruitment including career fairs, start up fairs, system events, Tri-College Events, MAFEL events, MCUCSA events, Meet the Employer events, faculty classroom visits, interview room, workshops, presentations, and employer specific programming and develop expansions of on campus recruitment that are customized to employer goals, mission, purpose, and vision. Work and coordinate with DragonJobs administrator to manage/leverage employer usage of employment platform software for CDC.
Create, evaluate, and execute a comprehensive marketing plan to promote awareness of the Career Services for all stakeholders including employers, alumni, faculty, staff, students, and the community as it relates to the express goal of developing pipelines of recruitment that emulate faculty programs, majors, and areas of study, and the 7 predominant career cluster areas of the Fargo Moorhead area.
Work with employer contact management system coordinating with other outreach functions of the campus to better leverage MSUM stakeholder relationships. Manage a repository of employers where all contact information, individual stakeholder contacts, and a quantification of the relationship is housed, and coordinate with designated reporters, monitor workflows, quantify outcomes and review documentation as it informs opportunities for the employer relationship to grow.
Work to define current internship structure of the MSUM campus identifying the programs that require internships and interfacing with internship or faculty coordinator efforts to supply, monitor, and evaluate internship sites by employer.
Actively engaged in community and economic organization groups including civic groups like rotary, Kiwanis, Lions to expand MSUM brand and cement brand equity initiatives that interface with Master Academic plan, strategic goals of the university, and President sponsored activities such as sector breakfasts, town hall, and state of the university addresses.
Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations, or related field
2 years of working directly with employers or the community
Knowledge of selling, marketing, and public relations as it informs stakeholder engagement
1 year of Academic Advising or Career Planning Experience
2 years of student affairs experience
Experience with informational storage and retrieval system networks that store, search and can modify data
Experience with systems that track, store data and can be leveraged into reports and analytics to govern strategic direction
Ability to administer or interpret personalized career inventories and assessments
Extensive experience with Microsoft office suite
Experience with customer relationship management software
