Our client is in need of a strong Electrical Engineer with experience in the design, manufacturing, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of transit, railway, and/or heavy equipment vehicles. Vehicle systems experience should include propulsion (both AC and DC primary supply), braking, auxiliary power supply, HVAC, and systems integration with signal, communications, and control systems.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Electrical Engineer will research, develop, and design electrical engineering systems and services for components and equipment:
Engineer and design new products from initial planning to production.
Provide and perform engineering troubleshooting and assistance for field service problems.
Perform testing and inspections on product components and assemblies.
Participate in engineering projects and engineering meetings.
Assist in the investigation and analysis of new material and engineering practices.
Edit and construct technical data for operation, maintenance and parts manuals.
Create and organize complete bill of material for purchasing department.
Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience; transportation, rail, or heavy equipment preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; Associate Electrical Engineering degrees may be considered in combination with 10 years of manufacturing experience.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD drafting and Solid Modeling (Solid Edge) beneficial.
Must be open to relocation to the Jefferson County area.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
