Reporting to the Director of Graduate Recruitment and Marketing, this position assists in the development, implementation and administration of marketing, recruitment and admissions strategies for graduate students. Participates in all aspects of graduate admissions work including, but not limited to, the representation of the university to wide and diverse audiences, evaluation of the credentials of applicants seeking admission according to university standards and requirements of particular programs, travel locally, student interviews and correspondence.
1.Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and 2 years of experience in college admissions or marketing related field.
2.Effective oral and written communication skills, with very strong interpersonal skills.
3.Willing to travel as necessary – heavy at times. Valid driver's license and accessibility to a car required.
4.Motivated self-starter with a proven, strong work ethic and a willingness to work evenings/weekends as necessary.
5.Able to perform calmly and effectively in times of stress, while resolving problems, and in the face of high volume activity.
6.Conversant with or able to learn computerized admissions systems.
7.Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
