The Hutch partners with other research entities and medical institutions to assure worldwide access to new research findings and technical developments.Perform tasks as assigned by the Security Supervisor.Maintain active inventory of all security critical spares, panels, power supplies, cardreaders, CCTV camera's and make recommendations to Security Supervisor on findingsRespond to campus-wide emergency situations (police, fire, medical, facilities, etc.).Provide additional security presence for Fred Hutch special events as-needed.Offboarding - Utilize the Fred Hutch Off-boarding Management system to account for the return of keycards and brass keys.Protection Orders - Maintain active files of Protection Orders; archive or dispose inactive Protection Orders.Patrol Car and Defensive Driving Training - Train STAR Protection officers on operation of Fred Hutch patrol car. Coordinate with Transportation on driver abstract and defensive driver training.Taxi Vouchers Log - Provide Transportation with taxi voucher log. Coordinate with STAR shift leads on inventory.Fire Extinguishers - Issue STAR shift leads monthly fire extinguisher checklist. Coordinate with Facilities Engineering to correct any deficiencies.Intercom and Panic Button Checks - Issue STAR shift leads monthly intercom and panic button checklist. Submit Facilities Engineering work orders to correct any deficiencies.Cardreader Checks - Issue STAR shift leads quarterly cardreader checklist. Coordinate with Security Technical Advisor to correct any deficiencies.CCCTV Camera Checks - Issue STAR shift leads quarterly camera checklist. Coordinate with Security Technical Advisor to correct any deficiencies.Custodial Services Background Checks - Work with Facilities Engineering to maintain current background checks on Pacific Building Services (PBS) custodians.Assist in programming new keycards or access into the access control system.Generate keycards at the badge station as-needed.Assist in reviewing and storing CCTV camera video following an incident for investigation.Review or submit incident reports.High School diploma or equivalent and minimum of 1 year of college education. College degree with emphasis on security management, homeland security or emergency management a plus.Minimum five years' experience in security.Valid WA driver's license or ability to obtain same within 3 months of hire.No criminal record.Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Familiarity and experience (minimum 1 year) with security access control systems, video/CCTV and incident report computer programs. Includes programming and trouble shooting.Ability to multi-task and resolve situations independently with emphasis on dealing with a diverse work population.Capable of handling difficult and stressful situations.Ability to work a flexible schedule as-needed including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.Work with people of diverse backgrounds while maintaining highest levels of integrity and confidentiality.We are a VEVRAA Federal Contractor.
