Summary of Essential Job Duties: The Pre-Operative Pain Program Clinical Nurse III assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care. The Clinical Nurse III consistently demonstrates professional skills and abilities, utilizes his/her knowledge base and proficiency skills to direct and supervise the clinical performance of others in the role of collegial consultants and resource personnel. Demonstrates motivation and creativity and serves as a catalyst for effective changes within nursing at the unit service and institutional levels. Applies clinical knowledge regarding standard pattern of care to consolidate interventions for time and cost savings. May assume responsibility for patient advocacy, patient rights, and meeting customers' expectations. This is a part-time position with a work schedule of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm (subject to change). Educational Requirements: BSN preferred License/Certification/Registration Requirements: Active California Registered Nurse License, AHS ACLS, BLS, Board of Specialty Certified, Pain Certification Certified preferred Experience: A minimum of 2 years of Acute Care experience in a hospital setting Procedural, Critical Care, OR, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, Emergency Room, Proficient IV skills Physical Demands: Ability to stand, sit, lift (30 pounds), carry, and pull.
