The Manager, Licensure and Accreditation is responsible for leadership and direction for licensure, accreditation, and regulatory compliance for the UC Davis Medical Center hospital, hospital based clinics, primary care network clinics, hospice, home care, laboratories, and multiple program certifications. The incumbent will work with all levels of the organization to create, implement, and maintain the strategy and tactics to insure that UCDMC is continually prepared for Joint Commission accreditation, CDPH licensure, federal and state regulatory surveys, and compliance with all pertinent regulatory and accreditation requirements. The incumbent directs and serves on committees, ad hoc task forces, and project work groups addressing issues of licensure, accreditation, and regulatory compliance. Develops, prioritizes, directs and/or coordinates the deployment of licensure, accreditation, regulatory compliance initiatives across UCDMC.REQUIRED - Advanced degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related fields and/or equivalent education, training, and experience required-5-7 years of demonstrated innovation and leadership experience required-Expert knowledge of governmental and other regulatory standards, requirements, and guidelines, specifically Joint Commission, CMS Conditions of Participation, Title 22, California Business and Professions Code, California Health and Safety Code, California Medical Association, National Committee on Quality Assurance.-Advanced experience with data analysis and interpretation skills. Ability to transfer knowledge to all levels within UCDMC-Documented experience publishing staff newsletter providing lessons learned, alerts for new regulations, policy changes, and improvements in patient safety.-Proven track record of successful survey readiness, survey conduct, survey followup and summation compliance.-Demonstrated ability to influence an entire system workforce.-Proven ability to achieve commitment from all team members.-Proven ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels and functions.-Documented ability to present data to all levels of the organization. Understand national benchmarks, coordinate external benchmarking projects and collaborative opportunities with external agencies.-Experience to drive institutional deficiency correction/improvement strategies; measure, monitor and access outcomes of initiatives.-Documented skill to investigate and disseminate best practices.
