Goodland Regional Medical Center is seeking candidates with significant prior experience as a senior executive in a rural Critical Access environment. Advanced preparation in healthcare administration, business, or finance is strongly preferred. This position is best suited for those individuals who consider themselves relationally driven change agents who can focus divergent interests into an enterprise agenda. An understanding of information technology, generation and use of pertinent data, and an understanding of healthcare financing are essential qualities of the successful candidate.
The CEO will foster, advocate, and support the evolution of systematic creation of an enduring, distinctively competent organization that measurable improves the health of the individuals and communities GRMC serves. Will champion efforts that increase revenue growth, productivity, and goal accomplishment across the organization.
Lead the development and realization of a vision, strategies, and tactics for Goodland Regional Medical Center consistent with the hospital's overall strategic plan. The vision, strategies, and tactics will reflect a systematic effort to serve the full continuum of health needs for the patients and communities served. Process improvement and optimization for financial and operational turnaround.
Position GRMC as a progressive organization recognized for its distinctive competencies in serving the health needs of the community.
Foster partnerships and alliances with other organizations, agencies, councils, etc. to link GRMC with other community assets.
Become a recognized leader and advocate to positively impact public policy; state and local legislation and regulations; and GRMC policies and practices that impact the health of the broader communities served.
Establish the requisite credibility and acceptance to serve as a successful coach to the leaders of GRMC leaders.
Masters Degree in Health Care Administration, business or equivalent field or demonstrated equivalent experience.
Minimum of five years experience leading in comprehensive critical access setting or hospital organization.
Possess strong operational abilities, excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, and creativity for advancing the organization.
Experience in successfully affiliating services with a large, compex health system partner.
Success in producing exemplary accomplishments in an environment of limited resources. Improvement in financial/operatonal outcomes.
Demonstrated ability and leadership in change management.
The successful candidate must possess personal integrity, self-awareness, and an unwavering foundation reflective of the core values of the organization.
Demonstrates comfort and ability as a self-starter and inspires others to be self-starters.
