Baptist Health Medical Group, a growing network of more than 200 of the region’s most highly regarded physicians employed by Baptist Health South Florida, is seeking a palliative care physician. Our multidisciplinary team includes a wide network of primary care physicians and medical and surgical specialists. Our physician specialties include: breast surgery, cardiology, cardiac surgery, concierge medicine, family medicine, gastroenterology, general surgery, hematology and oncology, hospital medicine, internal medicine, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, pediatric oncology, palliative care, pediatric orthopedics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, radiation oncology, sports medicine, and thoracic surgery.
Reporting to the Palliative Care Program Director, you will be responsible for the provision of Palliative Care Consultations within the hospitals as well as supervisory responsibilities for the ARNPs dedicated to the Palliative Care Team.
Duties will include consulting with the attending physician and the Interdisciplinary Team to establish a written plan of care at intervals specified in the plan; facilitating access to appropriate supportive care services; weekly participation in interdisciplinary team meetings to review active cases; full and appropriate documentation of patient care services to support professional billing for these services; and participation in on-call coverage with the interdisciplinary team.
The preferred candidate will be an experienced physician board certified or eligible in Hospice/Palliative Medicine, with two (2) years experience beyond board certification.
Candidate must be a US licensed physician, with 1 year experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team. Current Florida state medical license and in good standing with medical board.
