The Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry has an opening for a full time academic clinician at the Assistant Professor level. The principal focus of this position will be the provision of neurosurgical patient care at Strong Memorial Hospital and Highland Hospital. It is expected that the successful candidate will have a full clinical schedule providing endovascular services in several locations; outpatient office, angio suite and OR. The person in this role will be responsible for enhancing our relationships with regional physicians and hospitals to ensure that care is accessible and provided in the appropriate setting. Education of residents, medical students and physicians is part of the role. Research focus TBD. Candidate must have an MD degree (or equivalent) with board certificate/board eligible in Neurosurgery including Cerebrovascular Fellowship. The applicant must be eligible for a NYS license.
