Plan, organize, and control the department operations in the evening and overnight shift to ensure service needs are met or exceeded, and recommend changes in staffing levels, work processes, and schedules.
Initiate, lead and support performance improvement initiatives.
Oversee the Quality Assurance activities of the evening and overnight shifts.
Anticipate the impact of special/emergency requests on daily workload and implement new plan as needed.
Oversee staff management activities including hiring, training, corrective action, professional development and performance evaluations.
Orient and train new management staff utilizing department objectives, policies and procedures.
Review policies and procedures, staff resources, supplies, and equipment for operational efficiency and effectiveness as well as for compliance with external and internal regulations. Make recommendations to the Director.
Foster a collaborative work environment advancing the values of inclusion and cooperation within the department and across the institution.
Bachelor's degree or relevant equivalent experience, Masters degree preferred
7 years of management experience
3 years environmental services experience
