Provide the VCU School of Education a centralized model for recruitment/enrollment. Garner prospective graduate and online students, and guide them through the enrollment process for master's and Ph.D./Ed.D. programs. Operates independently to develop, implement and execute recruitment strategies for School of Education. Serves as a strategic business partner for the School's student recruitment activities.
Will have full decision making authority to develop and implement a centralized strategic student recruitment plan for the VCU School of Education
Establish and manage a student recruitment process for the School of Education
Collaborate with Office of Assessment to collect and analyze necessary data to educate the strategic plan and tactics
Collaborate with departments in outlining student recruitment goals and strategies to achieve them
Collaborate with Director of Communications to develop appropriate marketing process and pieces for the entire recruitment cycle
Collaborate with VCU Graduate Studies, SOE Student Services and other offices with responsibilities related to admissions
Student Outreach/Recruitment Activities
Based on goals, data and strategic plan, build new markets to attract students to the School of Education
Establish relationships with schools/departments in targeted geographic areas
Coordinates and conducts open houses, information sessions, interviews, and counseling sessions with prospective students and their parents to provide information about the School, admissions processes, and university policies and procedures
Represent the School of Education at recruitment fairs
Evaluate data and applicant credentials for admission and counsels prospective students on their admissibility
Other duties as assigned

Masters degree in Business, Communications or related field required.
Minimum 3 years professional experience in student recruitment
Demonstrated excellence in public contact and customer service
Ability to successfully collaborate across units, departments and offices
Strong comfort level with developing and making presentations to large groups of people
Strong spreadsheet and database skills
Basic graphic design/communications experience
Strong organizational skills
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to work with a diverse population
Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
