Job Posting: The Pathology & Clinical Lab Sales Representative is accountable to the Outreach Sales Manager and is responsible for business development, process improvement and leadership in the daily activities of field staff. Effectively represents both the clinical and anatomical division of Cedars - Sinai Health System to outside organizations and entities and securing contracts for the provision of laboratory services for their patients. Consistently provides services which anticipate and or exceed customer expectations in terms of quantity, quality, cost, and delivery requirements. The Sales Representative provides input to the Sales Manager, takes a leadership role in special projects to promote new business development and assists in planning and strategy for market growth, and maintenance of existing business. Under the direction of the Sales Manager plans, schedules, and oversees resource utilization, with attention to controlling costs and maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies. Performs all job duties with sensitivity and attention to the age and developmental issues of the patient populations(s) being served.
Qualification Requirements/Preferences: Education Certifications/Licensure Experience Physical Abilities Educational requirements and/or preferences (It ensure, registration, certification, experience, etc.): Baccalaureate degree required, preferably in Biological Sciences or Medical Technology, progressive experience in clinical laboratory sales or related healthcare or medical industry required, and demonstrated leadership qualities. Demonstrated effective leadership ability to motivate, develop, teach, evaluate performance and promote collaborative team efforts. Demonstrated flexibility and initiative to effectively lead change efforts to respond to environment and organizational changes. Superior interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with peers, staff, patients, physicians, and other customers. Demonstrated significant knowledge of the clinical laboratory industry, including relevant regulatory and compliance issues, Department operational logistics and customer relations. Full command (verbal and written) of the English language. Demonstrated technical expertise in both Clinical and Anatomical Pathology Services. Full command of basic computer skills as Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Work Environment (work environments, hazards and exposures that may be encountered on the job): Exposure to inside and outside environmental conditions including changing weather and road conditions. Repetitive hand motions. Daily functions may include incidental exposure to hazards associated with patient specimens. Physical Requirements (physical abilities essential to perform the job): Frequent driving, sitting, standing walking, bending, lifting of materials up to 25 pounds for distances to 10 feet. Responsiveness to auditory alarms and communication devices including: telephones, pagers, fire alarms, mechanical failure alarms. Visual acuity acceptable for performing duties of this position. Sufficient mobility to drive, access equipment and customers.
