The Board Coordinator is responsible for providing high level administrative support to the Board of Directors, SGA’s President/CEO, Executive Director and associated committees.
Provides a channel for committee communication with the Board.
Fully supports Board and Committee meetings; including attending all Board and Committee meetings, taking meeting minutes, assisting with agenda development and follow through, and preparing materials in advance.
Maintains Board and Committees’ calendars and Agency’s general calendar.
Ensures the timely dissemination of Board related invitations, documents, and agendas.
Develops and maintains good relationships and communications with Board Members, President/CEO, Executive Director and all staff.
Maintains, as needed, both mailing & public relations lists of board and committees, including website updates.
Creates mailings, newsletters, and other materials for the board committee members.
Assists in the development and preparation of organization’s fundraising campaigns and special events.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred.
Proven, reference-verified performance in administrative and project management roles.
Experience in a non-profit organization preferred.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook).
Must have excellent interpersonal and writing skills, and be poised, diplomatic and able to work with a diverse group of highly motivated and involved staff, board and volunteers.
Excellent project management and attention to details, highly organized and able to successfully handle simultaneous priorities.
A strong sense of personal integrity; able to maintain confidentiality and handle highly sensitive information; demonstrated good judgment and decision-making skills.
Professional, articulate, and great communication skills; able to seamlessly interact with high-level professionals.
Displays sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences present in SGA’s service population.
