Part Time 24 hours Grade 053 Social Work Division SMH Responsibilities General Purpose: The Eastman Institute for Oral Health (EIOH) Social Worker is responsible for providing clinical services to patients to assist EIOH professional and support staff in the delivery of comprehensive care to EIOH patients. The EIOH social worker acts as a liaison with community agencies and other relevant providers which impact EIOH patients. The EIOH social worker provides direct clinical services to identified EIOH patients and their families to increase access to and improve utilization of dental services on behalf of low-income and vulnerable individuals/families. The EIOH social worker also participates in interdisciplinary collaboration with EIOH staff with respect to program development, grant writing, research, and teaching (including the orientation and training of new staff and residents). Qualifications: The social worker must hold a Master of Social Work degree from an accredited institution. Licensure as a social worker (LMSW), as defined by the State Board for Social Work, State Education Department Division of Professional Licensing Services is required within eighteen months of employment. Relevant experience is preferred.
