Full Time 40 hours Grade 007 SMH Neurology Call Center Schedule 8 AM-4:30 PM Responsibilities Position Summary: Performs functions with patient information for Neurology. Completes the tasks of telephone management, scheduling and other duties. Ensures patient, staff and provider satisfaction with information processing. Duties: Responsible for accurate and timely input of collected information into the hospital information systems, eRecord and Flowcast, in accordance with HIPPA and other guidelines. Management of faxes that come into the department. Scheduling patient appointments by phone, maintains and identifies healthcare provider to be seen, updates/confirms patient information as needed, ensures timely input of. Confirms patient insurance, identifies and assesses patientsâ™ special needs (i.e. interpreters). Assists in prescriptions requests, patient paperwork processing such as Disability, Workerâ™s Comp, DMV, medical records requests, etc. Works in-baskets specific to department. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma and 2.5 years related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated skills related to achievement of customer satisfaction.
