The College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office is seeking an academic professional who will advise students and provide student support services pursuant to tracking and facilitating degree progress. Formulate goals and objectives for academic advising consistent with mission and goals of the University. Collaborate with the Associate Dean and Assistant Dean for Student Affairs to develop and implement programs to promote academic success, retention, and access, and programs for summer orientation, welcome weekend, and admissions events. Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of directly applicable experience. Work efficiently, independently and collaboratively; create and implement new initiatives that solve problems; establish and cultivate cooperative working relationships with students, faculty, staff and the general public on behalf of the College and University. Telephone outreach and email communication are involved, requiring strong interpersonal, organizational, prioritization and communication skills. Prior experience advising undergraduate students is preferred. Must have demonstrated ability to provide constructive feedback, use Banner effectively and efficiently, and improve systems and processes to ensure delivery of a quality undergraduate student experience.
