The Department of Art & Art History at Tufts University is searching for a part-time lecturer to teach an introductory-level, undergraduate studio course in Architectural Design in spring 2018. The class meets two times a week during the spring semester, from January 18 to May 15, 2018.
This studio-based course is offered as an introduction to architectural design. Working closely with the instructor, students will learn how to analyze abstractly, represent, and create space through a series of design projects that increase in complexity throughout the semester. Learning objectives include drawing and modeling techniques, concept development, spatial thinking, multi-scalar awareness, program analysis, context analysis, and many other layers of the architectural process.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Architecture and practical experience in architectural design. Teaching experience strongly preferred.
