Cornell Catering, part of Cornell Dining, prides itself on offering the finest quality cuisine and exceptional service. Cornell Catering is currently looking for servers and bartenders to work for the upcoming fall semester, including required work days on August 24th -26th.

In this role you will:
Maintain all Cornell Catering service standards and professional expectations
Answer questions on menu selections
Pass hors-d'oeuvres, replenish buffets, serve guests directly at sit-down dinners
Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc.
Set up for service and break down a variety of different campus events
Prepare and/or serve beverages upon request and standard practice
May include working other events and projects depending on need and candidate availability, includes various hours and weekend work. Training is offered as well as possibility for advancement within our organization. Hours vary anywhere from 5-19 per week, depending on events. The pay is $10.75 per hour. However, Special Events, including August 24th-26th will be paid at a rate of $13 per hour.
Uniform (black pants, black shoes and plain black button down shirt not provided) and clean and professional appearance required. Bartenders must be 19 years of age or older. Experience developing and maintaining positive working relationships with other staff and being part of a supportive team to reach common goals. Proven ability to ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards is required. All positions require standing for long periods and ability to perform various motor skills such as lifting (50+ lbs.), reaching, bending, twisting, pushing, squatting and grasping. No visa sponsorship is available for this position. No relocation assistance is available for this position.
