Responsible for the surveillance of infection control risk areas. Develops and maintains appropriate infection control policies and procedures for the facility. Provides pertinent education regarding infection prevention practiced for the facility. Works in collaboration with the Medical Staff to facilitate the Infection Control Committee. Facilitates a continuous improvement environment that focuses on improving processes and outcomes related to the infection control program. This position is responsible for providing support in handling claims, potentially compensable events/ litigation, certificates of insurance, maintain on-line Safety Event Reporting, and recalls. This position serves as a resource to staff and physicians for the Hospital, ECU, Hospice, and Clinic. This position performs job specific risk management duties related to loss prevention claims management, risk financing and collaborates with Quality Improvement Director in the leadership of patient safety.
Education, Experience, and Licensure/Certification Requirements: Requirements are representative of minimum level of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities.
1. Graduate of and accredited nursing school. 2. Licensed RN in the State of MT. 3. Bachelors Degree preferred. 4. 3 years clinical nursing experience. 5. Computer skills. 6. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
