Under general supervision of the Financial Manager of the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry, supervise 3 fund managers who oversee an Extramural fund portfolio of $20 million. Responsible for funds from proposal to close. Assist in grant proposal and budget preparation and award set-up. Manage funds in portfolio on a monthly basis, reconciling ledgers, producing monthly reports and projections. Work with Procurement Officers and Payroll to authorize and control expenditures. Analyze expenditure trends and take actions to avoid overdrafts. Prepare and manage monthly recharge reporting. Prepare salary and non-salary cost transfers as necessary. Assist in preparation of no-cost time extension requests and Requests for Advanced Spending (RAS's), prepare ledgers for closing funds, assist Office of Extramural Fund Management in preparation of final financial reports to agencies.
